you still need the asp.net core module ancm for iis, which is included in the hosting bundle. to only install the ancm from the hosting bundle and not the runtime and shared framework, run the installer from a command shell with the following switches
the iis hosting bundle is a separate install, and can not included in the a self contained bundle. the good new is that the hosting bundle does not need to updated with each runtime update. there is a new release of the bundler with every runtime that includes the runtime, but you only need to reinstall the module if you new features. follow the project
a self contained deployment does indeed include the runtime, but it doesnx27t include the asp.net core module for iis which you get when you download the runtime hosting bundle from the .net downloads page. so if you are deploying to iis, you will need to run the runtime hosting bundle installer even for a self contained deployment.
