the whois service offered by netim and the access to the records in thewhois database are provided for information purposes only. it allows the public to check whether a specific domain name is still available or not and to obtain information related to the registration records of existing domain names.
if you purchase a domain name or register one, be sure to put on whois privacy protection right away at registration or time of transferring in a domain to your registrar of choice. this doesnt mean you have to buy privacy protection, you can simply use general data in whois for the specific domain name you wish to hide.
if i remember correctly, godaddy offers such a service which hides domain contact information and that for a yearly fee.
